Our Focus areas
Anti-Human Trafficking Initiatives
Catalyst India, for the past seven years, has been actively engaged in preventing human trafficking with special emphasis on trafficking for sex work and child labor.
Community Welfare Services
Community engagement and welfare has been core of Catalyst since its inception 15 years ago. We continue to believe that community engagement is one of our core strengths and community welfare is a critical area of our involvement, especially in pandemic impacted era.
Value added services for Police Department
In the past 5 years we have collaborated with the Police in the area of Human Trafficking and various other cases, that gave us the opportunity to understand the department closely. We have rendered external support to the department in the areas where they needed specific services.
Research on Covid-19 after effects with respect to Delhi
Although a lot of work is being done to mitigate the after effects of Covid 19, most of the initiatives, either from the government or NGOs are on a random basis. Instituting comprehensive research and its outcome will give us the right direction to develop proper responses to help the mass.

Rescue to Rehabilitation of Savitra after 6 years of entrapment and exploitation
All stories do not have happy endings, but this one has one. Catalyst India has been in the forefront of rescuing girls who are forcefully sold or duped into flesh trade in the dingy by lanes of Delhi.
This is a story of a 39-year-old Savitri (name changed), a sex-trafficking survivor from Nepal. She was trafficked in 2016. Her ‘friend’ in Nepal had promised to find a job for her in Delhi 6 years ago, but she realised she was duped, when she landed in a brothel at GB road in Delhi.
“The man said I can secure a job as a cleaner for a salary of 10,000 rupees per month in Kathmandu. The next morning, they made me board a bus. So, I asked him where he was taking me, and he kept saying we were about to arrive in a few minutes until we finally landed in Delhi. Then he left me with Manju didi in GB Road,” rues Savitri.
